About software
Modbus Poll is a Modbus master simulator designed primarily to help developers of Modbus slave devices or others that want to test and simulate the Modbus protocol. Multiple document interface lets you monitor multiple Modbus slaves and/or data locations simultaneously. Each window can be assigned a Modbus slave ID, address, size, poll rate and function. You can access registers and coils in any window. To change one register, double-click it. You can also change multiple registers/coils. Multiple data formats such as float, double and long with word order swapping are available.
The status line will display exception errors.
You can send your own test strings to the “test center” and get the results back from the slave using hex numbers.
OLE Automation is used to interconnect with Excel. To interpret Modbus data and show it according to your specifications. E.g. E.g., edit Excel data and then transmit it to your slave devices! Use the Excel example.xlsm included with the program.
